How do I attach a redDog sticker?
- Make sure the surface is clean and free of dust and grease.
- Make sure the label fits the designated surface
- Attach the label carefully: Once the entire label is stuck on the designated surface, it may be hard to remove the label without causing tears, dog-ears, or decreased glue power
- Do not use the item on which the label is applied for 24 hours.
- redDog labels are weatherproof and scratch resistant. However, frequent exposure to sun and water (especially salt water), and vigorous and frequent scratching will reduce the lifespan of your redDog products.
How do I use the wallet card?
- Slide into the area designated for creditcards.
- Make sure that the "Lost & Found?" text on the lip is visible after insertion.
How do I use the redDog label?
Slide the key card into your keyring. Of course you can also use the different labels for other valuable belongings such as luggage, backpacks, etc.
What is the price of redDog products?
A redDog Lost & Founf pack costs € 14,95 and includes 9 stickers and labels, plus a 1 year free membership (€ 10,- for yearly renewal). You can order your redDog Lost & Found pack here.

What is the "+" sign in front of the redDog phonenumbers?
The "+" sign refers to the applicable international access code you need to dial in your country. In most countries, "+" means you need to dial "00" before the rest of the number.The "+" sign stands for 0 (zero) or 00 (double zero). When you want to report a find you call redDog at 0800 88 777 6666 or 00800 88 777 6666. This depends where you are around the world. So if you can't get through by calling 0800 88 777 6666, just add another zero and call again at 00800 88 777 6666

How do I become a redDog Lost & Found member?
In order to become a redDog Lost & Found member you need:
- A valid e-mail address and a mobile phone number: These will be used to contact you if your lost propery has been reported to redDog;
- A valid, inactive owner ID. This means you must obtain a new redDog product.

What is the redDog Lost & Found membership?
redDog Lost & Found members can:
- Expect to be called by finders via redDog;
- Listen to finder voicemails;
- Call finders back via redDog;
- Receive SMS text and e-mail alerts as soon as your lost property is reported;
- Don't pay administrative charges;
- Use the redDog courier for free (once a year) to have your lost property returned (and a discounts on further returns
- Global service, 24/7
- In short, the redDog membership members will get lost property returned faster, easier and cheaper.
What's the charge for the redDog Lost & Found membership?:
Your redDog membership membership will cost just € 10,- per year, regardless of the number of redDogs you wish to activate.
How do I get the redDog membership?

I activated my first owner ID by telephone. What happens with the redDog membership?
- If you activate by telephone, you automatically become a redDog member for one year.
- You receive any finder notifications on your mobile phone
- Please add your email address to your on-line redDog account in order to receive any future notifications by email
- Get the redDog membership online by clicking here.
- You will receive your notification about membership renewal by email.

Why can't I signup with a landline phone number?
RedDog wants you to sign up with your mobile phone number because this makes it much easier for finders to reach you as soon as possible in case your lost item has been found (and you are probably still in the neighborhood).
What is a PIN?
Your PIN is your Personal Identification Code, just like the PIN you use for cash withdrawals at ATM cash machines. You use your PIN in order to login to your myredDog account.
How do I receive my PIN?
You can obtain your PIN in two different ways: 1. You receive your PIN when you activate your first ownerID by phone. Your PIN will be sent to you by SMS text. 2. You receive your PIN by e-mail the first time you log in to your myredDog account. You can also activate your membership by (mobile) phone. Just call 088 777 6612 (for the Netherlands, land line charges apply) or +31 88 777 6612 (other countries). After succesful activation you will receive your PIN via text message. You can use the same PIN for logging in onto your on-line redDog account.

Privacy and safety of finders
- When you report a find, redDog will ask you for your contact details;
- Your contact details will never, ever, be made available to owners or third parties by redDog;
- When you call an owner via redDog, your phone number remains hidden to the owner;
- When you send an e-mail to an owner via redDog, your e-mail address also remains hidden;
- Finders decide how they may be contacted by owners;
- If finders wish to remain completely anonymous, then owners will not be able to contact you. In that case you may be contacted by the redDog courier instead;
- The redDog courier is a 'trusted third party': redDog has a courier process in place which ensures you contact details will never become available to an owner when used to pick up and deliver lost property.
- Exceptions: Contact details will only be made available to relevant authorities or third parties when required by law in the applicable jurisdiction. By reporting a find you also consent to contact with the redDog courier.
Privacy and safety of owners
- Privacy and safety of redDog Lost & Found members:
- You should never attach your contact details to your keys and even luggage. It's not even safe to attach your telephone number. Some people may (and can) use your telephone number to find your address details. While most people are honest, your address details may be used for dishonest purposes;
- To help you, redDog needs your contact details. However, redDog will never pass on your contact details to finders or to third parties;
- Communication via redDog by telephone and e-mail is safe: Your telephone number and e-mail address remain hidden to the other party;
- The redDog courier is a 'trusted third party': redDog has a courier process in place which ensures you contact details will never become available to an owner when used to pick up and deliver lost property.
- Exceptions: Contact details will only be made available to relevant authorities or third parties when required by law in the applicable jurisdiction.

What should I do?
You don't need to do anything - redDog will contact you as soon as your lost property has been reported.
Why am I not getting a finder report?
redDog is about maximum encouragement to finders to report a find. Industry experience teaches us that an 80% report rate may be expected. Independent reseach conducted on behalf of redDog teaches us that an even higher report rate is attainable. Unfortunately, not all lost property will be reported to redDog.
I am trying to contact the finder through redDog but I can't reach him/her.
The redDog communications platform attempts to verify the correctness of all contact details left on the redDog website and telephone platform. However, redDog cannot avoid that some contact details are incorrect. We apologise for the inconvenience. It may also help to try again later: The finder may be 'incommunicado' temporarily.
How will redDog let me know my property was found?
- the redDog membership members will receive an SMS text instantly, as well as an e-mail, with details, instructions, and tips & tricks. redDog will use the contact details on your membership overview. Check if they are still correct;

I have received a finder alert. What should I do now?
- the redDog membership members can listen to finder voicemails or read finder messages (if left by the finder) by logging in their membership overview, or by phoning redDog. You can phone or e-mail the finder, provided the finder has given permission for that. If the finder has not given permission to contact him/her, this means that this finder prefers to remain anonymous. In that case you should instruct the redDog courier. The redDog courier ensures that the finder remains anonymous while you can get your lost property back. Remember that the redDog courier is offered at a steep discount.
- You can also read finder messages (if left by the finder) by logging in your membership overview. You can email the finder, provided the finder has given permission for that. If the finder has not given permission to contact him/her, this means that this finder prefers to remain anonymous. In that case you should instruct the redDog courier. The redDog courier ensures that the finder remains anonymous while you can get your lost property back. Remember that the redDog courier is offered at a steep discount.
I have received a finder alert. How will I get my belongings back?
You have two choices:
- First, you can pick up your property yourself, if permitted by the finder. This is convenient if you are still near the finder, and may be the fastest way to get your belongings back.
- Second, if you and the finder are not near eachother, or if you, or the finder, prefers no direct contact then you should instruct the redDog courier.
I'm a redDog Lost & Found member and I have lost my mobile phone. What now?
Just use the mobile phone of a colleague, friend or family member to phone redDog and change your contact details. Or change your contact details online. Your friend will then receive the finder alert for you. Don't forget to change youdetails when you have your mobile phone back.

Can I transfer redDogs?
Yes. Simply go to your account overview online and de-activate the appropriate owner ID's.
How can I thank a finder?
Great! Finders will appreciate that. redDog thanks all finders on behalf of members and sends them a complimentary travel pack. You can also simply phone or email finders via redDog (if permitted by finders).
